Neil VanGundy, owner and operator of YOLO, LLC, is a native Iowan. Even from the heart of the Midwest, Neil started sailing at the age of 14. Neil continued sailing while living in San Diego throughout the 80's. His father James introduced Neil to the Virgin Islands in 1985 and he's been hooked on the Caribbean ever since. James always used to say, "Neil, You Only Live Once, enjoy it while you can". So in March of 2000, Neil stepped away from his professional career to make YOLO a reality. He personally logged over 7300 miles in the Caribbean and North Atlantic since January of 2008 alone. More importantly, Neil has gained a reputation for planning and conducting sailing vacations for groups, couples, and individuals from all over the U.S. and Canada. His goal has always been to achieve "The Best Vacation of Your Life". His countless repeat clients are a testiment to his success.
